A simple procedure that’s very common

Most people need their wisdom teeth removed because their jaw simply isn’t big enough to accommodate them.

About 85% of people do not have enough room in their jaw for their third and final set of molars—called wisdom teeth. Since wisdom teeth can shift and misalign nearby teeth, we like to remove them before they can cause problems.

An in-office procedure

Removing wisdom teeth before they grow through the gums involves minor surgery performed in our office under local anesthetic and a mild sedative. We simply make a small incision in the gums above each tooth, remove the tooth, and then close the tissue with sutures. For most people it’s completely painless, and our aftercare instructions help you manage pain and swelling.
